Isha Dadawala
Product-minded Computer Science graduate student. I ideate, I design, and I'm building the engineering to match - I design the parts list before I write the code.

About
the human side of the parts list
I care more about why a product should exist than what stack it's built on. That instinct shows up everywhere, in how I frame a project, in the fact that Comubridge started from an accessibility gap and not a tech-stack choice, and in how I spent an undergrad degree in IT mostly asking product questions.
Right now I'm a graduate student sharpening the engineering side on purpose, not because the ideation side needs replacing. I'm still the person who'll sketch the user flow before I open the editor.
Outside of coursework I paint, build things with my hands, and, unreasonably, enjoy assembling IKEA furniture. That last one isn't a joke entry: an instruction sheet with numbered parts, exploded diagrams, and zero ambiguity is one of the best pieces of product design most people ignore. It's part of why this site looks the way it does.

Currently working through a stack of courses in parallel with my MS coursework:

Experience
IT Intern
SAFEInvest LLP, Surat, India
August2023–January 2024
- —Built and maintained a dynamic CMS-based newsletter archive and admin dashboard, improving UI responsiveness, improving user engagement by 40%, cutting user search time by ~40%, and reducing manual content updates by ~50% for non-technical staff, thereby, improving operational efficiency.
- —Partnered with stakeholders to refine requirements and applied software engineering and UI/UX best practices to design modular frontend/backend components, troubleshoot full-stack issues, and lower user-reported errors.
Junior Computer Lab Technician
Fairleigh Dickinson University, NJ, USA
September 2025-May 2026
- —Maintain and troubleshoot 90+ lab workstations across multiple computer labs, contributing to high system availability and minimal downtime for students and faculty, along with performing OS/application updates, hardware checks, and incident escalation through the SAMI ticketing system to uphold high uptime within SLAs.
- —Log end-to-end ticket handling by logging, tracking, and communicating incident status, while documenting recurring issues and fixes to reduce repeat tickets and improve support efficiency.
Senior Computer Lab Technician
Fairleigh Dickinson University
June 2025-Present
- —Manage day-to-day operation and maintenance of 90+ lab workstations while assisting with scheduling student workers, ensuring reliable coverage, high availability, and a seamless experience for students and faculty.
- —Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and basic network issues; document procedures; and provide input that administration uses to optimize lab operations and implement process improvements.

Painting
Mostly texture-driven work , I like surfaces that reward a second look.
Mixed-media & DIY
Building things with my hands in whatever material is around , texture experiments, small DIY builds.
Furniture assembly
I build IKEA furniture for fun, not just necessity. The instruction sheet is basically a UX case study.
